HUDEC-Caritas Jaffna is implementing an Educational Assistance Programme for the war affected poor school children. This programme has been implemented from the year 2019 July to 2022 June. Educational Assistance is funded by Caritas Korea through Caritas Sri Lanka-SEDEC. Fifty-nine (59) students from Catholic, Hindu and Muslim community benefit by this project.
A seminars for the students and parents were conducted on 18th November 2021 at HUDEC-Caritas Jaffna Hall. Resource person Mr. S.Joseph Bala gave them activities to refresh the mind of students to concentrate on studies well. Parents also given activities to realise their responsibility on their children
Revd. Fr. S. Eugene Francis, Director delivered the talk on the importance of education and as well as to widen their knowledge on various matters. Miss. Nithila Mariampillai, Admin. Officer presided over the programme. The students participated in the programme enthusiastically.
