Inter Religious Leaders from Trincomalee, under the leadership of Revd. Fr. Dunstan F. Joseph, Director EHED-Caritas Trinco visited Jaffna on the 15th of October 2019. Eighteen Religious Leaders belong to Hindu, Christian, Muslim and Buddhist religion along with the coordinators of HUDEC-Caritas Jaffna & EHED Caritas Trinco had a dialogue with Rt.Revd. Dr. Justin B. Gnananpragasam , Bishop of Jaffna at Bishop’s House conference hall. Bishop of Jaffna stated that “we can bring peace, harmony and reconciliation in the country only through the Inter Religious activities”.
Inter Religious Leaders had discussion with the members of the Advisory Committee of the Inter Religious Forum of Jaffna at HUDEC-Cartias Hall. They also visited the worship places of Christian, Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist and had dialogue with the Religious Leaders.
This exposure visit was organised under the project “Promoting a Common Vision for Tolerance and Harmony among all Religions in Sri Lanka” and funded by Caritas Norway & NORGE through SEDEC-Caritas Sri Lanka.
