Human Development Centre (HUDEC)-Caritas Jaffna celebrated Children Elders day on the 8th of November 2025 at the premises of Thumpalai Lourdes Grotto.
More than 250 children and 40 elders participated in the event. Revd. Fr. T.J. Kirupaharan, Dean & Parish Priest Point Pedro graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Mr. Jeyaseelan, Senior Catechist, Mr. S. Joseph Bala, Psychosocial Regulator participated as Special Guests.
Mr. Neelamparan, Skill Development Officer, District Secretariat Jaffna, Mr. Jegansan, Centre for Performing Arts, Mr. Eugene Mesonad, GD Uduvil, Revd. Bro. John Hilton and Mr. S. G. Baskaran, Consultant Building Peace & Reconciliation were the Resource Persons.
The children garlanded all the elders and greeted them. The children and elders participated in the entertainment and games as groups.
Catechists from Point Pedro Deanery and Caritas Jaffna – HUDEC staff organised the event successfully.
