HUDEC-Caritas Jaffna has organized an Advocacy and Lobbying programme for the CBO Leaders (Community Bases Organisation) under the project Civic Dialogue & Cross Community Activities Project on 14-09-2020 at HUDEC Hall. Revd. Fr. S. Eugene Francis, Director HUDEC-Caritas Jaffna presided over the programme. He stated that the CBO leaders have the responsibility on the development of the society. Social Leaders have the ability to promote human rights and lobbying the needs of the society. Mr. Arivalagan, Resource Person in his talk said that lobbying is done in our society in so many ways. But they are not documented and efforts are not continued. Due to this the society faces setbacks.
75 CBO leaders from Ananikoddai, New Moor Street, Moor Street, Manaiamthoddam, Uthayapuram and Columbuthurai participated. This programme was funded by Caritas Korea through the National Centre, SEDEC-Caritas Sri Lanka and organised by HUDEC-Caritas Jaffna.
