Bishop of Jaffna and the Director of Caritas Jaffna – HUDEC visited the churches affected by bomb blast on Easter Sunday

Rt.Revd. Dr. Justin B. Gnananpragasam, Bishop of Jaffna and Revd. Fr. S. Eugene Francis, Director Caritas Jaffna – HUDEC visited the Catholic Churches where the bomb explosion occurred on the Easter Sunday.  They went to Kochchikada St.Antony’s Church, Colombo and Kaduvapitty St.Sebastian Church, Negambo on 23^rd of April 2019 and prayed for the victims.  They met the Parish Priests and the family members of the victims and expressed their solidarity on behalf of the people of Jaffna.

There were bomb explosions on eight places in Sri Lanka, including the Catholic Churches in Colombo and Negambo on the Easter Sunday 21^st April 2019 during the holy Mass.  359 people were killed and more than 500 people were injured in these incidents.
